Pastor Mark Olson is the Senior Pastor at Fountain of Life and his wife, Teresa, serves as the Executive Pastor. They moved to Phoenix from Minnesota, where they have served in ministry since 1986, including over twenty years experience as a Senior Pastor.
Whether it’s ministry, family, sports or walking Chuck, their Pomeranian-Poodle-Yorkie mix, Mark is always geared up to engage people with the Kingdom of God.
He has led missions trips to Jamaica, Mexico City, Bahamas, Columbia and India (where he preached in a healing crusade to over 20,000 people).
The Olsons have two children, both credentialed with the Assemblies of God, and both working in full time ministry. Their son, Karsten, is a Kid’s Pastor in northern Minnesota, and their daughter, Kiara, is a missionary and Youth Pastor in southern California. Teresa is also a licensed minister with the AG. She has led worship — both in the local church and for state-wide events. They have two granddaughters, Aralyn Reece, and Julia Brooke.
Mark and Teresa are competitive disc golfers (aka “frisbee golf”). Both have won amateur state championships. These days they can be found playing recreationally, with their furry, four-footed caddy.
Pastoral Mission: To empower the world to discover the greatest thing that ever happened to them — and equip the Church to know how to do this.
Pastoral Purpose: To make you eternally successful and faithfully obedient in the eyes of God through maturing and equipping you in five areas: worship, reaching out, relationships, discipling, and serving.
Mark was elected by the membership at Fountain of Life on June 9, 2019.
